Meet our founder, Lisa.
Growing up in rural Pennsylvania taught me so much – especially how to entertain myself and be creative to make things we could not afford to become a jack-of-all-trades of sorts. When I met Jason, he reminded me of home, and he has so many talents. It was fun collaborating on projects, and I was thrilled to share our love for jewelry with others!
As I get older, I find myself fondly remembering those times and all my family taught me. My dad was a quiet man and worked tirelessly for his family but always with a smile. He served as one of the first teams of Navy Seals - underwater demolition in those days. Dad was not a lavish man, and in fact, I learned the art of “barter” from him.
Though, he was no shopper, and the only thing he would buy / trade for my mother and me was vintage jewelry. I would save those boxes until last to open on Christmas as they were my favorites. Throughout those years, I compiled a unique collection of jewelry that I treasure, and they hold the fondest of memories. Not to mention, those pieces all had lives before me, and I am merely the caretaker for a moment in time. I’ll continue to keep them in safe-keeping for my daughter and her family one day.
This one is for you, dear dad. I would be nowhere without you and the many gifts you shared with me. I hope to have made you proud, and I could not be more grateful for your many lessons. I truly miss you every day!
Meet our master jeweler, Jason.
I grew up in the Washington, DC metro area, spending holidays in Florida visiting my grandparents. Those visits shaped me deeply - especially time spent with my grandfather, known to me as Poppy. A scientist by trade, he was also an extraordinary sculptor and jewelry maker. Some of my fondest memories are helping him choose materials and watching his ideas come to life at his workbench.
After earning my bachelor’s degree and working as a naturalist, I felt called to follow a different creative path and enrolled in jewelry school. Nearly 20 years later, I am still creating jewelry by hand, guided by curiosity, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for materials.
My early inspiration and much of what I bring to my work today can be traced back to those formative moments with my grandfather, whose passion and artistry continue to influence everything I create.
